NSW artist, Rachel Carmichael has been working with Gannon House Gallery for close to 30 years and has a following of dedicated collectors.
One of the gallery’s most popular local artists her whimsical approach gives her work a feeling of light heartedness but with an wistfulness evidenced in the gaze in each of her portraits. Working from her home south of Sydney, Rachel began using small boxes to paint on, later moving to mixed media painting with flashes of gilt, often hand framed with gold leaf.
